Wagalla Centre for Peace and Human is a community based organisation that champions for the rights of victims of three state instigated massacres and also agitate for rights of general pastoralist communities living in Northern Kenya.
To educate, agitate, advocate and safeguard the rights of marginalized pastoralist communities in northern Kenya and build community premised on justice , community independence and empowerment rather than dependence on relief foods ,free and just society, equality, cohesion, non –discrimination, respect for human lives, respect for vulnerable groups like women and children and community entitled to make decision on local governance, sharing of resources, health rights, vulnerable groups right to leadership and corrupt free society
To create a resilient and empowered pastoralist community in northern Kenya that is free from marginalization and injustice. This vision envisions a society where pastoralists are independent and self-sufficient, not reliant on relief foods, and where justice, equality, and non-discrimination are the guiding principles. The community will be cohesive, with respect for human lives and the rights of vulnerable groups such as women and children. The vision also includes the right of the community to make decisions on local governance, resource sharing, health rights, and leadership, all within a corrupt-free society.
The organization has 3 staff members’ and 20 Human rights defenders who are all VOLUNTEERS.
